I've had this site off and on since 2000. Well before it was called a "blog", it was a webpage. As most of you have noticed, there has been a severe lack of updates, mostly due to me being busy, and making updates on sites like Twitter instead. I've decided to redirect plock.net to my twitter page and move this site to http://old.plock.net for historical purposes. Maybe sometime I'll resurrect this site as more of a feed of my online updates, but until then, plock.net signing off.

I don't know why I bother attempting to "upgrade" my computer any more. These "projects" always take:

way longer than anticipated
minor heart attacks along the way over fear of data loss
did I mention they take way longer than anticipated?

The worst part is, I couldn't even figure out how to accomplish what I was trying to get done (go from FreeBSD 7.2 i386 to amd64). Sounds easy enough. Except when I've got a POS (not "Point of Sale") 3ware RAID controller (9500S) that just refused to initialize upon booting the AMD64 kernel. Yea that's not gonna work.

Ugh, so frustrating. Glad I wasted 2 days on it.

Going to go see Fatboy Slim in NYC on June 24th. He was the first DJ I saw in concert back the first week of freshman year of PSU. Man time flies. Should be fun.
